"Another Side of the Story" is a Harry Potter- more specifically a Severus Snape-Fanfiction story, written by Marianne DG.

It starts in the first weeks of Harry Potter's Fifth Year at Hogwarts, when Professor Umbridge is tightening her grip on the school,  and when the wizarding world grows increasingly darker as Voldemort gains power.

It ends 22 years after the Battle of Hogwarts, so brace yourself for quite a long story.

We meet Billie Matthews, a seventh-year Ravenclaw student who is just about to choose a topic for her NEWTS essay, and since she is not particularly good at any subject except Potions, in which she is absolutely brilliant, Professor Snape approaches her with a proposal.

This is the heartwarming story about friendship and never-ceasing trust. Through Billie's eyes, we have the chance to read Harry's story from a completely different perspective, from the early days of the High Inquisitor's reign, throughout the Half-Blood Prince, Dumbledore's death, Voldemort's rise to power, the second war until the Battle of Hogwarts, the very end and beyond. l

WARNING: For the sake of the story it was absolutely necessary to describe some violence, more specifically in Part I - Chapter 12 and some rude language at times. (Death Eaters are after all not very decent people). And although physical love is not described all the way in detail, it is unmistakingly hinted at. So I think this story should be rated as a (young) adult-story.
